In the heart of the Ballon des Vosges National Park is the Ballon d’Alsace. This rounded mountain straddles three Départements and offers a splendid view of the Vosges, the Belfort Gap and the Alps.
In summer, it is a popular site with ramblers, replaced in winter by skiers who come to take advantage of the numerous ski slopes stretching down the 1247-metre high mountain.
