An ancient Fortress (its walls are still standing) and home port for pirates and explorers (including Surcouf and Jacques Cartier), Saint-Malo, on the Emerald Coast has a definite charm of its own.
To the north, a few cables’ length from the Pointe du Groin, Cancale is its counterpart. A fishing port, it still perpetuates the age-old tradition of valiant fishermen and high-quality oyster farmers.
