Situated on the South coast of England, Brighton is a seaside resort with a difference. A mix of old and new, the town bustles with life, boosted by its numerous bars and restaurants. The seafront is composed of a series of prestigious, elegant buildings and the heart of the town, “the Lanes” is a maze of tiny streets, full of boutiques and stores, encircling Brighton Square.
The Royal Pavilion, built for George IV is a symbol of English extravagance: the exterior is topped with a series of domes and small towers and pinnacles in Hindu style while the interior is decorated in Chinese style with a marvellously explosive effect.
