Destinations: Namur

Namur became the capital of Wallonia in 1986 and is one of the most dynamic cities in Belgium. The Rivers Sambre and Meuse run through it and meet in its centre. It is home to the Wallonian Government structures and its urban landscape has undergone extensive transformation over the past few years. However, its heritage has been preserved and visitors can still admire the Church of St-Loup, the citadel and the Treasury of the Priory of Oignies aux Sœurs de Notre-Dame. Namur has certainly changed but it has kept its soul.
